About & FAQs

SharePoint connector action reference

Explore 56 SharePoint connector actions for Power Automate. Search by action name or task, browse categories, and open an action to see its parameters, which are required, their keys and types, and what the action returns. This independent reference is useful for building and troubleshooting cloud flows.

How to use this reference

In the tree, select a category, then an action. The action branches into its Card, which opens the full details, and its Parameters, listed by name. Select a parameter to jump straight to it in the card. Use the Microsoft Learn link in each card for the official documentation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the SharePoint connector in Power Automate?

The SharePoint connector lets cloud flows, Power Apps and Logic Apps work with SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server: create, read and update list items and files, manage folders and attachments, share content and call the SharePoint REST API.

What does each parameter key mean?

The key is the internal name of a parameter in the action's definition, for example dataset for Site Address or table for List Name. You see it in the action's code view and when you write expressions against the action's inputs.

Which parameters are required?

Open an action's Card to see every parameter with a Required or Optional label, its type and a description. In the tree, required parameters are marked with an asterisk.

What does an action return?

The Card lists the outputs of the action. Actions such as Get items and Create item return dynamic outputs that follow the columns of the list or library you pick; others, such as Create file, return a fixed set of properties.

How do I call SharePoint REST endpoints from a flow?

Use Send an HTTP request to SharePoint. It takes the site address, a method, a relative URI such as _api/web/lists, and optional headers and body.
